So i've studied aikido, but never had the honor to be an uke to someone like that older gentelman. I wonder what that is like seeings how I have felt the full effects of being thrown, but it looked so effortless on his part, like when he didnt even touch you, what was that?

I was only once in San Paoulo with this old master. A lot of years ago (I think, 1995..it´s not important). Always he said "shhhhh" and make kokyu nage I fell his hand like a glove that go out and I fly with it. In the lest move he make Kokyu Dosa (or Kokyu Tanden ho) an whith only a hand in my wrist I can´t move. That was only mind. Aikido more as only a technique. Great

you can't teach a technique if you don't know how to perform it - same for falls. testing how you fall is just as important as how you throw others. ;)
