Scientists using NASA's Hubble telescope have taken the first visible-light snapshot of a planet orbiting another star. The planet, named Fomalhaut b, is located 25 light-years away in the constellation Southern Fish. The star Fomalhaut has been a candidate for planet hunting ever since an excess of dust was discovered around it in the early 1980s. Now, Hubble has actually photographed the planet and the results are reported today, 14 November, in the most recent issue of Science magazine.
Strange video.
