This is a music video I made to go with my album 'The Songs of the Auvergene' by Joseph Canteloube. I am making several experiments of different upload formats to see which looks the best. This is full DV off IMovie 6.3. The highest quality I can do!
The soundtrack is made using GarageBand on my Mac. I did sing professionally a long time ago but I do not play any instrument. When my husband died I lost my accompanist until I discovered last Xmas that I could write out my accompaniments by hand. GarageBand is the best mid application and it is free when you by a Mac.
I mixed the sound using the GarageBand editor too and it has done an amazing job. Eventually the album will be up on iTunes
Now I want my music video to look wonderful hence the experiments here on the DIYTV Channel. If you subscribe you will get several visual versions. I have used Motion to get special effects and it will be interesting too to see the result on YouTube.
It has been relatively easy but time consuming but I have achieved my first professional music album under my stage name Janette Miller.
This music video was uploaded using the Full DV file. It is very big 350mb for just one minute but it looks much better the the QuickTime Movie version that was uploaded at the same time. This music video uses lots of movement and lots of video effects and to mkae it look good on YouTube is a chllenge. HD for the next may be the answer but HD is not so good on colour.
