Lisa Batiashvili's interpretation is much better, and her sound is unmatched, even by this young lady. It used to be on here, but it's not on here anymore :(

You can tell she can understand the darkness of the piece and what Shostakovich was going through at the time. Her bow is right on the bridge at 4:00. :o It sounds super loud, yet so emotional. Outstanding job.

Her interpretation is far superior to anything I have heard in a long time. Dark and foreboding. And such wonderful bow control. Just the way I like to hear this piece played. Hilary Hahn makes it sound so sweet and sensuous. Not something that Stalin would ban.
