This is my first protective hair style as a full natural. I was tired of constantly playing in my hair, combing/picking it, and it started to feel like I was messing with it too much! (I guess that's what happens when you like/love your hair to much...you can't keep your hands out of it!...lol) So I decided to put myself on a "Tuck Those Ends" hair challenge for the whole month of August. I'm only going to be wearing my hair in protective styles. FYI I'm not using weaves/wigs for protective hairstyles until the winter months (as least as possible)...So I have to get the creative juices going! lol...Thanks so much for watching and I hope you enjoy. Please feel free to join, comment, and ask questions! Thanks again, and God Bless you and all your personal endeavors!

  • Yes protective styles like this will allow your hair to grow and your scalp to breath, What kind of oil are you using on your scalp? it looks dry. Are you doing hot oil treatments for your scalp and ends? I spray my scalp with Thin to Thick by Jason, this is very good, for your scalp and hair. It moisturize your scalp and add thickness and body to your hair. I love it.

  • @1Robbinh My hair is actually very moisturized and my hair had just been deep conditioned with my conditioner and oils mix. I try not to buy too many products, especially when you can just make your own. But whatever works best for you and your hair is great. Good luck on your hair journey.

  • Very nice, I like how you did that.

  • @luvformykids Thank you...it took me a hot little minute to come up with the style idea, but once I started working in my hair it just came together. I’m glad you liked it!

  • Im also going to try this for the month of august...hopfully tucking my ends in will stop the breaking and also me playing in my hair every five minutes. I will do a video of my style later on this week =D

  • @goldenhoneyxi I'm so sorry to hear about your hair breaking...but you are already on the right path by putting it up and leaving it alone. I want my hair to be out and big all the time, but I know that will only lead to it eventually breaking and thinning. I can't wait to see the video and how your style turns out! God Bless!

  • @caprimomx2 Yes it will help! Honey...I was always touching my hair and enjoying the curly/kinky curl pattern-so I had to put it up. And now I'm missing my hair, lol.
