  • i'm gonna be getting my late grandfather's pontiac 6000 le. it's about in the same situation as this one, it's just not in the woods....but was sitting in a driveway for 10+ years (it's tinted green from the tree above it). but i am going to get it working, and it'll be my first car.

  • @etownrdnck make sure that fuel is spraying out of the nozle over the throtel valve. if it is, but still ownt start, replace the spark plugs.

its easy, any person with a set of tools can do it.

and they are a bitch to start, if it starts and runs for s second on the starting fluid, floor the thing. if it revs up and then dies, go slower on the gas.

    best of luck

  • i have a 6000 like this and its doing the same thing it will start with starting fluid but wont stay running. Do you have any ideals what it could be the pump is pumping but idk what it could be.

  • If you still have this Pontiac could you take out the chime and put in an old buzzer from a Chevy Malibu?

  • yup loool mines 21 years old dying in my garage listen to it i have a vid if ure bored lool

  • gotta love the 6000's
