Season 1, Episode 1

For our first episode, we review the Nintendo's first gaming console, as well as the Famicom Disk System attachment that was never released outside of Japan. Released two years earlier than the NES, this system served as the basis for Nintendo's rise to power -- even if it was heavily redesigned when it was brought to North America and the rest of the world.

  • can someone please go into deeper detail of how to get this to work on an american tv please

  • @Scout322 Absolutely. We have another video on just exactly that. I'll send you a message with the video attached (it's called "Famicom Hookups").

Please feel free to comb our archives here on YouTube, or check out the website at FamicomDojo(dot)TV for more great videos!

  • How much memory could a Famicom disk fit?

  • @Damauveropolis I'm pretty sure we say in the video, but it's 56KB on each side of the disk for a potential total of 112 -- which include any space needed for game saves.

  • EXCELENT WarioWare reference. Very obscure, too. I doubt most people here got it.

  • @SeanOrange thank you very much for the video, it definitely helped.
