@DrNippleHair The ZR1 is already a 750-800hp engine...its just detuned. Look at Lingenfelter, they slightly changed the timing and add a CAI and made an easy to drive as stock 710hp ZR1. You add a cam and methanol injection, and 800hp will be passed in no time. GM has no need for a V10 b/c with the LSX engines, they can easily make more power and get better gas milage. They probably will twin turbo it and retrieve the lost mpg from the supercharger and make more power safely.

@DrNippleHair Reread my post thats what i was saying. The zr-1 has a better ability to effectively use the power because of its traction and stability control features. either car is gonna be a handful to drive for someone without experience but the zr-1 is a way easier car to drive fast. Im just saying why does the zr-1 need a v-10 it whoops all the euro v-10s. A zr-1 could be built to way over 1000hp and so could a viper but the zr-1 will always drive better around a racetrack.

@DrNippleHair There are N/A cars built in peoples garages with 1000+ HP its all about how the car uses it. And The Zr-1 has already proved itself leave the dohc V-10s to the euros. I really doubt you've ever driven a 638 hp supercharged car or a 600hp N/A car. Bottom line is the zr-1 was built better than the viper. It has the power but can effectively use it. The viper is more raw unrefined and less usable for most drivers. But that means a lot of fun, but harder to control.
