The hire of Bulleid Pacific, No.34007 'Wadebridge' and S & D 7F No. 88 from the Mid Hants and West Somerset railways respectively, enabled the GCR to have a Somerset and Dorset theme to the Autumn 'Steam Railway' Gala which ran over four days from October 6th to the 9th. • Great video and beautiful gala. Beautiful locomotives. The last clip, where two trains meet, is magnificent. Thank you Austin.

  • Merci Philippe, le Grand Central est la seule ligne préservé où vous pouvez voir les trains qui passent comme ça. Vous serez intéressé de savoir assez rares Français étaient en visite, de Caen, je crois.

  • Thanks, its good that so many steam engines are still bringing pleasure to so many

  • Thanks Chris, it was a pretty good gala despite some iffy weather

  • Bit late coming to this Austin but beautiful shots of a great event. Good to see Wadebridge, Sir Lamiel behaving herself and 88. Chris

  • Thanks Mike, despite the grey skies on Saturday it was an enjoyable two days. I was using my new (ish) Panasonic camera and the zoom button is rather sensitive, the only thing rusting up is probably my old joints!
