Face Painting : Under the Sea

Request me a look : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X1Frresk-Cs

Hey guys ! Something different and quite funny to do !

Face painting ?! Wtf is that ?!
Well the pics show it up !

- "Real face/body painting" isn't drawing (which is quite sad I think but whatever ! ) it's all about movements, contrasts, contouring and highlighting (like you would do for a regular look).
Face/body painting is something that is not made to be seen close, but far. You would be quite surprised to see barely blendings and precision if you look up close. It's a show, so people watch it from far as for runway or theatre/opera.

- Another type of face (or body) painting is the "Real painting" one. Which is drawing ! But not all pro MUA can draw so it's not considered as the real face/body painting. "Real painting" takes way more time to do too because you have to be really precise with what you're doing.

- Fact : you don't learn face/body painting, you practice it.

However the face painting that I did is neither a "Real face/body painting" nor a "Real painting". It's in between.
Lots of blendings and precision, no drawing but movements.

"Under the Sea" :
- the warm reds, oranges, yellows represent a sea creature (maybe a fish who knows ? :)).
- the greens, turquoise represent a plant or maybe another sea creature :)
- the purples, blues, and white lightinings, represent the sea where the sun comes in.

Great thing is that this type of face painting let your imagination decides what you wanna see and how you wanna see it ! :)

I used the Mehron palettes (aqua colors), some Make Up For Ever Star powders, glitters, and false lashes.

Don't request me a tutorial on this look please ! lol I didn't know what I was going for and I could never explain everything in a 10min video.

How long did it take ? Well here are quite a few facts to help you guessing that ! :) :

- Pro international face/body painting contest usually let you 5 hours to do a complete body and face painting including the hair and accessories. (if of course it's a "Real face/body painting")
- Doing face painting on someone is 50% easier and faster than doing it on yourself (the neck is the hardest part you could do on yourself just because you can't see anything, while on someone I find the nose to be horrible to do lol)
- "Real painting" can run for an entire day...
- It is extremely exhausting to do !!! Once you have done the only thing you wanna do is to sleep !!! Why ? Nobody knows lol !

Thanks for watching guys ! I hope you enjoyed ! :)
Don't forget to rate, comment, and subscribe (it's free and it means a lot to me) ! :)

xoxo
