Back when Royal Canadian Air Farce was on CBC Radio, Luba Goy appeared in an advertising campaign for Kellogg's Mini-Wheats.
On the Air Farce TV series, viewers were treated to Luba's regular segment, "Ad Absurdum," where she dissected some of the most irritating commercials on the air at the time. And for years, Luba -- along with the rest of the Air Farce gang -- appeared in literally hundreds of commercial parodies on Royal Canadian Air Farce, both on TV and on radio. But this is the real deal, an actual, vintage TV commercial, not a parody from the legendary, highly-rated, and long-running CBC comedy series.
Here's a copy of Luba's 1990 TV commercial for Mini-Wheats. This has not been seen in over 20 years. And the next time you're eating cereal, heads up!
Visit airfarce.com for more rare footage and clips from past shows.
To see a rare commercial featuring Don Ferguson, visit http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OHf7AguXN1s.
Now this is what you call humble beginnings! Who would've thought that one of Canada's funniest women started out in a cereal commercial!? I certainly didn't!

it wouldve a bit ironic if the TV version of air farce existed w (and Ad Absurdum, was a segment) when that ad was on television, itd be a bit odd to roast an ad with you in it, itd probally never happen, obviously

That's John Kozak as her husband. He played Sidney on TVO's "Math Patrol", in about 1977. Sidney often dressed up in a huge kangaroo costume...because when he'd joined the Math Patrol, that was the only disguise they had in his size.
Luba had worked with John before...on "Math Patrol"!
