PS Button Glitch

So I have a Playstation 3 and out of no where my sixaxis controller stops working right. When I try to shut the system down using the controller, it won't work and text entry stopped working right as well. I am using firmware version 1.51 on the console. Anyone else have this problem?

Yeah, mine was like it shorted out. I just went to walmart and took mine back in as a return and got a new controller. I had to use up 1 of my 3 returns with out a receipt per year, but it was worth it to save the hassle of getting a replacement from sony.

Yeah, I hit the reset button, nothing, The ps3's got plenty of breathing room. :) I think I may have sent a static shock into my controller. I was generating a lot that day. Every piece of metal I touched would shock me. At one point I plugged my usb cord into the sixaxis and saw sparks shoot between me and the cord while plugging it in. I got a new controller and it works fine.

yeah i got that too and my ps button sometimes doesnt work andd it click randomly sometimes turing on my ps3 and going to ps page when i play ,cant do anything. but i know why, my cat spilled water on it

my controler is broken like yours but instead its the other way round ! i cant press the ps button to turn it on or off or even to exit games CAN ANYONE HELP ME PLEASE!

this totally happened to me but i fixed it by taking the controller apart and putting it back together, it's a bit tricky to but totally worked!!! i hated this shit so glad its gone

this happend to me to and as crazy as it sounds, it might be that you blew a fuse on the right side of your controller

this happens when your sitting or covered in something flanle. if you push one of the action buttons and it sparks you might have blown a fuse, im returning mine but i wouldnt rely on me, go to a pro
