  • what do you do at 6:20? where did that window come from?

  • @brulee34 That's the "Direction Mixer" plugin and a "Multimeter" in Logic Pro

  • @deevvayne @kalkancii

Look up "logic pro es 2 default patch" on google and then click on the second link (it should be logicprohq (dot) com) for the default patch

Talking again about poker face, take in account that then you can EQ, compress etc. the Vanguard sound I suggested, so you can imagine how easy it is to do exactly the same sound, if you start from the right starting point.

  • It's evident that one has to choose the right synth that is naturally suited for a specifical kind of sound. You discover that many "famous" sounds are simply the result of very basic settings done with the "right" plug in. Everytime there is a new plug-in, producers begin to explore its new possibilities and doing so you can create very quickly interesting sounds: the results are the sound we hear in commercial tracks. So the only way is being everytime up-to-date with the plug ins.

  • Sorry but the only synth that has this kind of sound is Re FX Vanguard. This morning I tweaked a little bit starting from scratch and with only one oscillator with axj saw wave, 3 fat voices and fat knob turned to 30, a 1/8 cross delay and a low pass 12db set to 2 Khz with Q 36% I obtained a sound 1000 times more similar than yours, without need of a video tutorial :-). It's really simple...do it for yourself

  • thank you!

  • I can't get any good sounds out of logic. I want to get the tones that Synth1 has as presets on the video on youtube but Logic is too complicated.

  • can i download the preset shown in the video anywhere?

  • @TheFunkyLuvah except its on a saw by default and this is on a pulse by default :P

  • Thanks good tip. You don't really need to download the preset just go to "Analog Saw Init," under "Tutorial Settings" in the ES2 presets.Same sound. :)
