That thing is loud! My Prius is a lot quieter in its all-electric mode. Maybe they're trying to appeal to those who want vehicles to be louder as a safety feature for pedestrians. Personally I think it sounds like a broken wind-up toy. I live by a major GM plant that will be shut down if a new vehicle is not designated to be built there by mid-2009. Everyone who still supports them is hoping that this is that car...

I'm sorry, the company was called Convair when the tract housing I live in was built. It formally became a division of General Dynamics in 1954, 5 years after...but close enough... lol.

thats because that area is either controlled by GM or eveyone in that area (since they live so close to GM HQ) supports GM. I think maybe it's a suburb neighborhood built by GM for employees, I live in a house in a tract built in 1949 by a weapons company called General Dynamics that is no longer in business here.

please tell me, this isn't a video put out by GM, because it looks to me, that they are making a "dummy" car and trying to keep people from being interested in it. IT is slow and loud, nowhere near as nice as nearly every other EV made. LOL! I hope this was just a demonstration and that the lady was scared of hurting a million dollar concept car..

If GM's only source of income were from electric hybrids like the Chevy Volt, they'd be making millions of them. "Stop buying or leasing NEW gasoline powered cars". See my vids.
