I have decided to post this new clip from ESB:R as a dedication to my dad who was cremated yesterday (16th). He was my mentor so it seemed fitting to post a clip featuring Yoda

The release date will now be pushed back to May 2012, but may get an earlier release date if circumstances change.

As always the audio is only temporary and is taken from the 1980 version. Some shots are still either unfinished or i haven't started working on them yet

  • Was the blue tint of the 2004 versions also in the original theatrical releases found in the 2008 set (the blue box)?

  • @TieLandProductions no, the blue tint was only added for the DVD/Blu-ray versions of the special edition. the blue tint wasn't even there in the original 1997 version of the special editions. it was only added when they came out on DVD

  • The lightsaver has a darker bluish.

  • @maleiva only if you go by the colours in the prequels. The lightsabres in the Original trilogy were always a lighter blue hue

  • @Robotdrummerzzk yeh right, Yoda was always supposed to be neon green or even blue and Luke always wore a green outfit. It's a shame that people have actually forgotten what these films were supposed to have looked like before the 2004 DVD set colour cock-up

  • @fogell359 The new voice was one of the biggest errors Lucas made. Just because he is a clone (which he won't be in my prequel:revisited editions) doesn't mean he would have the same accent as an adult. I had a strong Birmingham accent because i lived there until i was 11, but i moved away from there and no longer have that accent. He would not sound the same as Jango. The prequels should have been made to fit in with the OT and not the other way around

  • @maleiva lightsaver!? LOL

  • "I shall assume full responsibility for losing them and apologize to lord vader"................ good luck with that ;)

  • I recently watched phantom menace and came to this conclusion. Most of the annoying characters/aspects in this movie are digital. I feel that if you visually replaced the digital characters and had them speak a different language with subtitles, the prequels might actually work. I think that even if you just took out the english language for the digital characters and replaced it with an unknown foreign language (or beeps for droids).. the movies would be greatly improved. Both would be great!

  • 1:33 necessary?

  • I loved this particular episode of the series. It came out when i was in Jr. High school. sadly, it's lost it's impact with age.

  • @noddwyd Would Yoda do that?? A good way to see if it was natural would be to see if anywhere else in the StarWars mythology there is anything else like it.

  • to be fair having it on blue-ray at all out weighs the changes they made.

  • @adywanuk is that not because of the color correction problems they had, like how in the original Luke's lightsaber is shown as a light blue but was intended to be green?

  • I still have questions about whether that place where Luke encountered himself looking like Vader was a natural part of the landscape of Dagobah, or if Yoda was altering his mind, so he could learn from that experience. Both ideas are frightening.

  • @adywanuk Although slightly ironically the Special Editions introduced a weird pink tint to the footage that was removed in the 2004 DVD.
