I think when the forest is on fire, we should be more willing to just let it burn. We try to control too much of nature. Sure, we should alter nature for human benefit, but why when little or no benefit is evident? Why run up costs to taxpayers to show nature "who's boss." Of course people have dominion, but does nature care?
But smoking is stupid, and an idiotic cause of fires. Natural wildfires belong in remote wilderness, not populated regions. Fire fighting should protect our interests.
