A jealous bitchy comment.

@comprellion Thai warriors wear Black Armour, Thai normal soldiers wear red cloth. Peasants don't wear shirts.
And then Burmese are just the opposite.

Somehow I have the feeling that Thailand was so much more developed for that period of time compared to the current Thailand... nowadays there seems to be so much division amongst Thais due to various happenings, events and the way that society has become, this list goes on a long way and is much more then anyone would possibly anticipate. However at the end of the day us Thais still have the patriotism in us, we just need to all put in a hand.

This is the best movie of the Great King Maha Raja ever made ..The invasion of the Burmese trying to take over Thailand..it's a must see film..Best interpretation of our history..How we won and take back our country from the Burmese Imperialism and reuniting our country and become a stronger country :))

I really liked this movie, but I have to say, Suriyothai was way better. And of course this is the Thai side of the story. The Burmese may portray it differently, but unfortunately our film industry is not as developed (as is the rest of the country). But this is history....and I thank the Thai people for their support of the Burmese people's situation at present.
I actually read about King Naresuan in a Burmese historical fiction. He's actually the hero of the novel.

(cont.) King Naresuan is viewed by many Thais esp. those in the military as a Maha Raja or a great King and also a 'soldier' King. He liberated the ancient Ayuthaya Kingdom from the Burmese imperialism and united the country as a whole. Still, be aware, this history is, of course, a Thai version one. If you read the Burmese version, the story might be otherwise.
