Wreck B-17 on Corsica - Scuba

Made this year on Corsica during a scuba diving trip with Valhalla catamarane.

Hi @thelifedivine thanks for comment ... it was made few years ago, with SONY HC 14, very simple 1 chip camera and 35 W HID light from BENDA (czech UW light producer), its not HD :-), the new ones video connected to this one, is HD. There is some difference :-) Enjoy the dive, would be beatiful :-) !!!

thanks for sking, yes, the whole crew survived, they landed on the sea surface and safely reached the shore (its close) ... and yes, im always imagine the feelings of pilots when they hit the shots from messerchmits ... its like an nature museum :-)

Did the B-17 aircraft take off from Calvi airport, or did it take off from Bastia or Ajaccio and just crashed at Calvi?

B-17 take off from south of italy, been hit near calvi, but calvi had small/short airport for such big plane, so they decided to land near calvi on the sea surface.

i wish someone will take that plane up piece by piece and put it back to gether for a museum or for people to take rides in only 5 are left in the world
