Seoul Bellydance Haflas - Male belly dancer Zahur in Korea

Zahur's dance debut in Korea at the "February Seoul Bellydance Hafla" (Arab dinner & dance party) at Petra restaurant in Itaewon (Seoul, Korea).

Zahur has performed in Turkey, Egypt, Japan, and now Korea. Previously in Tokyo, Japan, Zahur is currently based in Sweden.

MECDACK (Middle Eastern Culture, Dance & Art Club in Korea) was founded in 2008 and is dedicated to promoting Middle Eastern arts. Monthly haflas are held in Seoul. These events give the general public a chance to experience Middle Eastern food, music, and dance, and provide an opportunity for amateur dancers to perform in a casual, supportive environment. (Middle Eastern restaurants in Korea do not hire dancers, or hold weekly dance performances.) Occasionally haflas feature special guest professional dancers, and/or educational seminars and demonstrations of Middle Eastern cultural activities.

MECDACK haflas are organised by Belynda Azhaar as a service to the community, and are non-profit; the cost of attending pays for the dinner.

MECDACK은 매월 "haflas" 라고 하는모임을 서울에서 합니다. 이 모임에서는 사람들이 함께 어울리고 중동 음식, 음악, 춤을 편안한 분위기에서 즐길 수 있게 도와줍니다. 보통 저녁식사와 함께 댄스파티가 진행되며 서울에 있는 중동 레스토랑에서 모임을 하고 있습니다. 때로는 모임중 무료 벨리 댄스 레슨을 하기도 하고 깜짝 게스트의 공연을 하기도 합니다.
