Bugs on Broadway

A song and some concept art for a movie idea I had

Aren't you tired of getting sprayed and squashed?
Aren't you sick of all the terror we have watched?
We bugs are insecure,
With our safety so unsure,
And, frankly, I think it's time we turn it up a notch!

We have all lived here before they ever came.
But they look down upon us and think we are all the same:
Just creepy, slimey, freaky, grimy creatures on the floor.
And now it's time to show them that we all are so much more!

And go after all of the things that we deserve

I spend most of my days looking all around for poo
But with humans in the way, that's something I can't do

The other day I spun a web so I could catch some flies,
But then a human came and swiped it right before my eyes!
Their rude, abrasive mannerisms I've come to despise!

Well, we've been dreamin' of better days to come
Full of freedom and clear blue skies.
And if you think an insect does not have heart,
You're in for a real surprise!
