As per the Los Angeles Times:

The fact the marriage lasted 10 years gives Vanessa Bryant several advantages under California divorce law. After passing the 10-year mark, attorney Dmitry Gorin said, a marriage is defined as a lengthy one, which means the spouse is allowed to maintain her standard of living after the split.

Gorin said Vanessa Bryant may be entitled to permanent spousal support and may even be part of Kobe Bryant's retirement plans. She'll probably get "more than enough for many lifetimes," Gorin said.

That same report by the Times notes that Vanessa is entitled to at least half of Kobe's purported $300 million net worth in the divorce settlement. And, of course, that's to say nothing of the ongoing spousal and child support she's virtually guaranteed to receive.

Just like her mother did to her stepdad. Surprised?

Noticed that the goldigging bitch of an ex wife is praised!

  • This is why I treat women like shit.

I have conversations with women before and asked them, "what are you bringing to the relationship, since I am the one with all the assets and money?"

Seriously, I have been living on my own since the age of 17, I hold a doctorate degree, I earn over 150K, I own my house (no mortgage), I cook, I clean, I travel all the time.

So apart from the sex and unwarranted headaches, what does a woman bring to the table?

Exactly, step away from my Range bitch.

  • Kobe shouldn't have gotten married. With the way divorce laws are set up these days, that trophy wife shit is played out. Get a trophy girlfriend and change them out ever couple of weeks.

  • @mrzack888 You are either smart enough to understand but are dishonest or you're not smart enough to understand. Kobe is just a symbol in this case. Any woman could divorce any man for any reason or no reason at all and the man would still be required to pay. Are you saying that if Kobe wasn't at fault his wife would not receive alimony? Plenty of faithful men pay alimony as well.

  • @Popadibs it's Kobe's fault. if Kobe didn't cheat, then the settlment wouldn't have been so large. Also, the large settlement was to keep Vanessa from exposing more dirty secrets of the rapits Kobe's infidelities. Kobe prolly involved in orgies with men and women.

  • @mrzack888 You have no place to tell us what our message should be. First of all, a cheating husband is not a prerequisite to a woman getting alimony. No one of sound heart and mind condones cheating. What we are in favor of is the abolishing of a system that rewards one partner (usually the woman) for the efforts of another partner (usually a man) even after the partnership is over. What happened to Kobe could happen between a faithful husband and an unfaithful wife as well.

  • @TediusZanarukando If women ran the world and no war resulted because of it it would probably be because of all the male babies they would have aborted and there would not be enough men to participate in their wars.

How I plan to live exactly

  • I want all of you men to notice how this parasite is being praised for her behavior, and also want all of you women to notice that we are fed up with your hypocrisy, and are growing increasingly aware of the damage that you can do to us.

Every man that opens his eyes is a man that you will never fuck over.

  • @gorillabang79 I have to agree with you on that. It makes me mad when I hear about that. I can't stand golddiggers, regardless of the gender.

  • @goov47

I have no problem with a woman working for and acquiring her own possessions. What I have a problem with are women who worked for nothing, pop out a few kids after marriage, then have the audacity to demand half of what you have worked all your life to achieve.

If she was there from scratch helping you start a business, then she deserves it.

But these women are showing up after all the hard work is done, do nothing while married but have children. Then demand half. Seriously!

  • What she did was definitely wrong, but he wasn't any better. Seems like most people overlook his cheating, as if it never happened. However, if it was the other way around, where she continuously cheated on him and he waited till 10 years to collect alimony from her, he'd be brand a HERO, and they'll say she deserved it.

  • @gorillabang79 I have a female cousin who's been working since she was very young, became a lawyer, then a judge, owns property in Colorado and New York, makes more money than you, cooks, cleans and travels around the world. She did all that on her own (like you) is single and wants to remain single and has a good attitude.. She has lots of male and female friends and doesn't brag how successful she is. So, you see, men are not the only ones who are successful.
