  • Of all my mausers the swedes are my favorite! I have the carbine 94,the38,.96 ane of course the m41b.they are all fun to shoot

  • @ere828 You have a nice selection of Swedish rifles!

  • Where did you get those "steel-jacketed soft points,"? I haven't been able to find them on Norma's website or anywhere else.

  • @oddcarl1 They were old, probably about 50 years old, and so are no longer produced. All current Norma soft-point bullets have soft gilding metal jackets, not steel.

  • The Swedish Mauser has got to be one of my most favourite firearms

  • This is one of my favorite rifles

  • @BrassAxe It's a Remington 700 R5 stainless "milspec", with 24" barrel. I have a 4.5x30x50 Bushnell 6500 scope on it. It loves the 168 Matchking with IMR 4064, Winchester 748 or Varget.

  • @314299 Yeah, I usually use the Lapua Scenars, or Lapua Naturalis bullets but the special made Sierra Matchkings in 142grain work better. I guess they made them slightly longer to get a good grip on the high twist rate (1 in 200mm) Swedish Mausers. What sort of .308 is it? I have a good friend with a CZ 750 in .308 that i'm currently working up load data for.

  • @BrassAxe Good tip on a good bullet. I use a lot of Matchking bullets in my .308 and they are very good shooters.

  • If you happen to reload your own ammo I have an M41b that i've been working down to 1 MOA accuracy since i've gotten it, and I want to try and hit targets at 800 yards. But I usually use Lapua 139grain Silver Scenars when I shoot.. But after extensive research I found out that Sierra makes a bullet specifically for high twist rate Swedish Mausers. It's the 142grain matchking. And it works perfectly with RL-22 powder and CCI BR2 primers.. Hope someone can use this info because swedes are awesome.
