Film techies and other film professionals marched in Wellington in protest to the actions taken by an Australian based actor's union which threatens the future of The Hobbit filming in New Zealand, thousands of jobs, and the future of the New Zealand film industry.
Music track is 'Precious Ace' by Lucid 3. I haven't asked permission to use this track (but I have purchased the whole album) so if it's not ok, please contact me and I'll take it down. If some of you buy something from Lucid 3 (and you should because they're a great NZ band and Victoria Girling-Butcher has a lovely voice) then hopefully it will all be worthwhile for them!
Thanks for watching and support NZ industries!!
Nice background song ,good taste what's the song's name

@Robby110 If one union shafts another, no one wins. I know the lady whose quiet voice shouted to make this thing happen, and she's no scab, then or now. Maybe it's better if there's room to join and move forward, rather than split and hold everything back. I'd mediate that discussion, and gladly. (certified, NCPM)

you cant trust any woman named helen who have alittle power and want more, helen said on the news there wasnt over 1000 people here, she is as dumb as she looks, for somebody who works in media to think the average joe couldnt just find out on youtube how many were there, she also said simon whipp had a police escort from a lynch mob lol shes a liar and cares more about power then kiwi jobs

Your day is gone mate. And those demonstrating outnumber by a huge margin the ones who want Union agreements such as a collective. Secondly, No bloody Aussie has a right to tell kiwi's what to do.

Interesting isn't it, for every single actor, How many film crew are there, the numbers dont stack up do they. Great demonstration people.

See what the actors have done! They've spat in the face of peter jackson and kept delaying start on 'the hobbit' and now Warner Bros. wants it overseas. Obviously they must be getting a cheaper price to do it in europe or somewhat but my point is, is that Peter and Richard have spent hours building sets and you simply cannot pack that up and move to the other side of the world.
1. The Actors Union or whatever i really dont care are selfish
2. Fuck Warner Bros.
3. Keep 'The Hobbit' in NZ!!!!!!

Iñm from Spain, I just can´t believe this situation, it´s just a shame, New Zealand owns Peter very very very much and these bunch of greedy people can ruin everything and everyone. But Peter is in the power to punish these people from MEAA and he should do it in order this to be sure this never happens again. (But in the end I hope he decide to keep the movies inside New Zealand).
Is that big bearded guy from the front gino Acevedo??
