(side note: 3 yards is about 9 feet. we all know a yard is 3 feet, what i said wasn't the "proper measurement", it's just usually how i measure it. the amount of sinew you need really is just based on the size. and your dream catcher doesn't have to be a circle. the last dream catcher i made was out of grapevine shaped into a heart. it was fun)

This shows you how to make a dreamcatcher.
supplies needed:
1(+) metal ring (or anything you want to use, a bunch or grapevine wound up, etc, anything that works for you)
Leather
Sinew
and any decorations you'd like (feathers, beads, etc)

  • This video helped a lot for me. because it did all the basic steps. The only thing im having trouble with is the beads but its great anyways. the only thing that bugged me was the music. It made it a little hard to pay attention cause i was slightly annoyed. But all in all. it was really good. Thanks a lot!

  • @DanceRiahDance2 Thank you, i agree there is a lot of error as i made this video a long time ago and there are a lot of things i would change if i re-did it. but thank you for your feedback, i agree. :)

  • Good video. I make dreamcatchers as well but I learned a thing or two here to make it easier (like the paper trick). My only suggestion is that you should have put a black tablecloth on that table or something, because the sinew was hard to see with the tan table background. :P But your catchers looks great, I really like that one with the big stitches made of sticks.

  • yeah, i am actually thinking about redoing it. i made this video over a year ago and there have been lots of questions i'd like to re-adress. and there are things i did and said wrong and that is one of those things. the stutches were so hard to see when i watched it

  • I heard somewhere that if you weave them the wrong way, you going to get nightmares. That true?

  • i've never heard that

  • Are there any special procedures, laws or regulations for disposing of the dream catcher when it is full?

  • I eventually went back home where I had another Dream catcher hanging over my bed and it was much larger. When I slept, I had a vision of that black serpent following me around and it bit me on my right hand and I woke up. What I had realized that some wicked entity was inside my Avatar and the poison from the serpent killed the intruder. Amen Ra!

  • I have never weaved mine. I just get a hoop or square and start wrapping it with sinew. The Dreamcatchers I make are extremely powerful. I have tied one on a tree in the woods near an underground creek on a very, hot day. A 3.5 meter long, black serpent was at the mouth of the creek like it was protecting it. I needed to drink some creek water because I was thirsty so I went down further to avoid the serpent in order to get a drink. I drank at least a gallon of that creek water.[Prt.II Next]

  • I like the music, not the typical new age Native American music is used.

  • Real nice tutorial! It gave me an insight on how to do these... I thought they'd be more difficult, but I guess not! :)

One question I have is could you string around a 2nd ring if you add one in the middle of it?.. I wanted to try and add a metal outline of a cross inside of it.

  • omg that is amazinggg! fantastic vid!!!!!

  • very good video instructions, very helpful!

  • thank you 4 the vid :) it looks nice and simple
