Of course the weather is bad, it's way up North - what do you expect? I was born there and moved when I was 16 to Australia and people complain here about the weather too - it's too hot blah blah blah. Seems to me that most people like to complain about the city they live in. Aberdeen has character - and the granite sparkles in the sun, sure it gets cold but instead of complaining, embrace it!!!!!! And aberdeenangel - perhaps it's you that is rude to others? Just saying.... :)

Nothing wrong with Aberdeen and the people aren't miserable. How can you be miserable when Aberdeen is in the top 50 cities in the world for quality of life and 2nd only to London in the UK - Officially.

I'm not going to slag off other cities just because people are slagging mine, that would be immature. Edinburgh's a great place, Glasgow has good shops & some great places to visit, (excluding Ibrox & Parkhead). Just joking before anyone cries. Inverness is nice and even Dundee is improving.

i would say being born and bred here is the fact a lot of older people are in the village mentality ,look at the facilities,airport(no transalantic flights )so called energy capital,only recent 24hrs opening the road networks are diabolical all dowN to incompetant councellers and mps over the years .they should look at ABERDEEN FOR THE NEXT100 YEARS NOT THE NEXT ELLECTION ONLY THEN WILL DECENT THINGS HAPPEN

i used to live in Aberdeen. i finished LLM at RGU. So far it is a nice place to live but i have to admit that the weather is horrible. hehehe Miss Siberia Vodka in Little Belmont and the art cinema in little belmont as well where i could enjoy black & white films from 30'S.
