Orientflover1: I was just a child of 4-5 years. However, if I close my eyes I can see my 2nd floor residence, overlooking the street. On the corner was a mithai shop. There were localities Ram Nagar & Krishan Nagar. There was possibly a nullah nearby. This is the visual picture of 63 years ago.

@orientlover1 Saraswati Rane is correct. She was also a daughter of Abdul Karim Khan and a sister of Hirabai Badodekar, and accomplished classical singer herself.

The actress to the right of Rehana with sitar is Paro. She hailed from Mairuth. She was known as "Mairuth ki Qainchi" ( Scissors of Meerut) in Bombay film circles in mid 1940s due to her sweet talk and refined mannerism which she had learned as a mujra dancer in Mairuth. One evening she invited Ashok Kumar at her apartment and made seductive gestures but he rejected her advances. As he left she said "Ashok bhaiya, I was just testing you. Ashok sahib, I consider you as my elder brother".

@vngautam1 Where exactly is Ram Nagar? Do you remember any important place nearby for reference?

@ritupm the little girl singing is Baby Tabassum who appeared in many movies as child star like Baiju Bawra and Aaram etc.

@cricketlover1117 The other singer is Sarswari Rane, a classical singer of her time. She was persuaded by C.Ramchandra to sing on his compositions but normally she did not sing in movies at all.

Actress playing violin on the left is Bimla Kumari. She sings film Barsat song Hawa mein udta jai mora lal dupatta malmal ka. She also sings Dheere se aaja ri akhian mein nindia aaja ri aaja in film Albela. She sings at a mujra Jaan meri jaan o meri jaan achha nahin itna sitam, in film Sahib Bibi aur Ghulam.
