DEMONSTRATING A LARRIVEE OM-03R

Phil buggers about with 'Danny Boy' and 'Summertime', whilst gently putting a new Larrivee OM-03R through it's paces. This lovely orchestra model guitar is undisputably worth a grand of anyone's money - credit crunch or nay - don't think the cat was too impressed though!

dear phil, are larrivee necks a bit broader than "usual" necks? i always wondered because i did not have the chance to test one yet and it drives me crazy to play finger style on standard size necks.

@mcFifo2007 Not that I know of. The neck on that one was fairly standard. Maybe it is an urban myth?!

That sounds great, Is that the acoustic sound or is it played through the pickup? I have an om-03 (not rosewood) and it doesn't sound that good, I'm on a permanent search for the right strings, you wouldn't happen to remember what strings you were using? long shot I know!

@miznomer1 Hi there, I use Elixir 53-12 on all my guitars. The guitar in the video was given to me for demonstration, and so it is played without any pick-up. All the best. Phil.

I bought one in 09 and havnt looked back. Have a Martin 000 and the boom sound of the larivee makes the big difference. Great guitar . Runs $2500 in NZ. Cheers for the test tunes bro.
