"Radical" Ron Rand is a non-profit protest musician who specializes in radical orchestral protest prog rock. America The Peaceful is an epic condemnation of the American Imperial system which is exemplified by the support of loyal, often brutal despots in other nations and the concurrent collusion between the American government and private industries, most importantly "defense," petroleum, transportation, and communication. Accompanying this is a mock "bi-partisan" political structure which hides the fact that the "two" parties present a unified voice in favor of American Empire and hegemony.
The way the theme from the song "America The Beautiful" is introduced and then descends into dissonance and gunfire from 2:56-3:09 is symbolic of the how American ideals of equality and freedom have been corrupted by the economic overlords who thrive on warfare.
This song also criticizes the use of Depleted Uranium, American exceptionalism regarding weapons of mass destruction, worldwide military presence, and media complicity.

America the Peaceful 500,000 strong
Fighting in Afghanistan and Iraq for way too long
But we have this bloodshed in the name of peace they say
I sure hope that is explained to civilians that we slay

Perhaps these soldiers are ambassadors of peace
The wheels of diplomacy are what they're there to grease
I bet that's how the people do see it over there
If there were foreign forces here I'm sure we wouldn't care

Chorus: America the Peaceful
Guns blazing hot
Aiming for peace with every shot

700 billion on defense spent every year
It should not be a surprise to find that this inspires fear
Soldiers all around the globe and bases everywhere
Saudi Arabia, Kyrgyzstan, what are we doing there?

Enough nukes to wipe us out 100 times
Better say your prayers when that air raid chimes
Cause a peaceful nuke kills just the same as one that's dropped
In the war god's name

CHORUS

Bases in Korea
Bases in Japan
Bases in the Balkans
And missiles in Poland

Not a peaceful posture
It's obvious to me
I guess the politicians
Must not agree with me

America the Peaceful
Shells filled with DU
Done made your skin turn all blue

America the peaceful both parties on the take
They've got their corporate backers and it's all for money's sake
Wars fought for no reason but to keep the arms sales high
Great for Northrup Gruman, too bad for those who die

The widows and the orphans, a pity indeed
Small price to pay for progress, mere chicken feed
Pockets lined, purses swell, champagne and caviar
Forget those dreadful things that happen way afar (from)

CHORUS

When a convoy's destroyed and the soldiers erased
A large sales order must soon be placed
These tanks and parts don't come for free
Great news for many companies

based in America the peaceful
Doors open, bombs away
Dropping little peace bombs every day

America the peaceful fighting many wars
Don't forget the secret ones not discussed on Channel 4
Assassinations, coups, and black ops all around
Disappearances in the night that scarcely make a sound

Wars prolonged for profit and started with no aim
Self-perpetuation, the name of the dirty game
Campaign contributions, donations will ensue
Who loses out on the deal?
Me, my friend, and you

CHORUS

We found that the war economy could keep this land afloat
If there is no war to fight we'll find a handy scapegoat
And we'll plead the cause of human rights and that of liberty
While supporting many dictators and their demagoguery
If it helps our hegemony
Despite their lack of democracy
As long as our trade flows free

And if you don't agree
That's how it should be
Here we come
By air land and sea

I've got monopolies on the WMD's, I'm gonna use 'em on you better not use 'em on me (x2)
I've got monopolies on the WMD's, I'm gonna sell 'em to you better not use 'em on me
I've got monopolies on the WMD's, I'm gonna point 'em at you better not use 'em on me
I've got monopolies on the WMD's, I'm gonna use 'em on you
