Extreme Makeover in Erie

The popular ABC show "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" is set up in the neighborhood around 650 E. 21st St. on June 25. That's the home of Clara Ward, the founder of the former Youth Development Center for abused and neglected children. "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" is expected to demolish her home and build a new one from the ground up -- all in 106 hours. At 4 p.m., more than 200 spectators had lined the sidewalk across from Ward's home to watch the comings and goings of celebrities and cameramen.
