Heart of Darfur: Arab Nomads - 17 Aug 07

All this week we've been bringing you a series of reports about the Darfur you didn't know. Now Mohammed Vall follows the trail of the nomadic Arabs of Darfur. They are sometimes wrongfully characterised as Janjaweed, the government backed militia involved in much of the violence of the past 4 years. But as Mohammed discovered, the Rizegat Bedouin are themselves struggling to preserve their way of life in a region torn apart by the conflict.

Language: Somali/Egyptian (meaning)

Ra/Ra (The sun)

Neter/Neder (divine being)

Hipo/Hibo (the sound b doe not exist in Hamitic languages - gift)

Heru/Huur (a stork)

Tuf/Tuf (spit)

Habi (the Nile)/Wabi ( a river)

i know Egypt was black and they where speaking African language similar to Somalis

before some Arabs left Yemen to Iraq and intermarried with some Asian and game back bay power and take over Egypt

@haramacad, ancient Egypt didnt speak Arabic. King Pharaoh did not speak Arabic,so western Europeans cannot fool me. to be correct it was persian who gave Arabic a script!

don't be fooled by Europeans Arabs are from Africa they have black brown and white .remember middle east is not Asia it is in north eastern Africa

don't let western propaganda fool you. Arabic language is originated in Africa and they too are from Africa.

uhhh,most Modern Egyptians are not arabasized cause they are actual arabs with roots from Arabia,,,,their ancestors conquered Egypt..

there are african arabs , european arabs and nomadic bedouins its not a race you know .
