  • I was looking around here for a version I heard of this song on the show "Las Vegas", just now when I happily came across this! Fantastic! I love the Leningrad Cowboys and their whole group more than did this song justice. It was a joy to see and hear. :D

  • @jWH00TY1216 well this is a good step in realizing how stupid you were. I mean this guys are musicians, the tension used to be political, and even in the cold war, there wasn't real fighting between the US and Russia. So just enjoy the good music, and stop being so shortsighted.

  • 140% epic!

  • Watching this is like falling into some bizarro world. Oh,and the haircuts just scare the fuck out of me.

  • PEACE FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Russia showed so much promise during those first few heady years of freedom. Its truly a shame to watch Putin drag the curtain closed again.

  • watch my awesome cover of this song :D

  • How does their hair stay like that?!

  • I've watched and listened to this a dozen times now.

It is literally awesome--it inspires awe. The balalaika is just beautiful, and the mass of tenors througout , and those crescendos from all sections of the choir-- fabulous! It touches one's very soul.

  • I clicked on this out of curiosity, intrugued by teh idea of "Leningrad Cowboys and The Red Army Choir. I had heard a truly awful version of Dylan singing it live.

This is amazing, beautiful. Straight into my "rumba " playlist, and as soon as I get a gal up here to my pad, we'll be dancing to it.

Brilliant post, thanks. Thumbs up to WHOOTY1216's comment, I was British Para in the Cold War. It's better to sing and dance.
