VIdeo from the summer of 2001, right before Michael's 2nd birthday. Notice how the only word you heard him say is "no". He flips his hand infront of his face (stim), he stims off the rug, he runs in circles around the slide, he's happy & laughing, he's not always making eye contact- but sometimes he does, and I'm also making excuses for him (look- michael is waving- meanwhile he is stimming). Michael was dx about 6-8 months after this video was shot.

Also- he bangs into the door and cries for about 2 seconds (hypo-sensative) and at one point he is standing on the bed looking up and not getting dizzy.

  • He reminds me so much of my 2 year old it's crazy! The sounds he makes, the movements, everything. My son only says a few words, bangs his head into the floor, arches his back when he is mad and stiffens up, he walks on his toes and lines things up. He even spins the wheels on his cars & more but they are telling me now he just has a "sensory integration deficiency". We live in a small town and I don't know if I should continue with this diagnosis or seek other opinion. I am at a loss.

  • @MrEshawnc Where do you live? I would def continue & get a dx of autism. After 10 years of dealing w/ this, I've learned that autism is just autism-a label. But it's ALL sensory-toxic-metal-allergies-gut-processing etc.... all connected to the immune system. Doesn't really matter what u call it- as long as you treat it. Go to Tacanow.org & get all the info on biomedical treatments please :) U don't need a ton of $, just understanding.

  • Please do not give this child one more immunization shot. He has enough damage.

  • don't worry :)

  • It is weird, we were all told not to eat fish during pregnancy because it has mercury in it. But they put the exact same stuff in vaccines, and give it to our babies!! I don't get it.. THEN they decide that it is bad, take it out of vaccines, but let them use up the rest of the lots with mercury in them. WTH???

  • I have to say, Michael is an absolute doll. I also have to say, his baby actions are like home movies of my own son. The wrist movements, the "da, da, da" talking, the love of going round and round. My son is 14 yrs old now, and he had a rough time in elementary school. An IEP and speech therapy helped. We took him to a specialist at age 7 (nothing in particular was spotted) He is now an A student and in an pre-engineering program in highschool. Thank you for sharing. Beautiful family!

  • @RulesTheRoost82 Same here. I am sick of people telling me he is just a late talker. My 7 year old daughter has global delays and was delayed in speech but at least she still said mama and dada with meaning before 1 year. He was assessed the other day to see if he was eligible for an in home autism program to get help and he is eligible. She said he is too young to diagnose at 21 months but he probably is on the spectrum. He does not talk, he will make a few sounds but not often. No babbling.

  • He's watching blues clue's music episode. haha sad that I know this, my eldest used to watch that one over and over and over. He has Asperger's not that that has anything to do with the blues clues. Love your more recent videos of him too
