Techcrunch wrote about them this morning because they released a Blackberry app, http://techcrunch.com/2010/05/17/tawkon/ but I visited them in Israel and got the full scoop on how their technology works.
My son has a brain tumor and he only uses a cell phone! oh my precious son will not believe me! and what about being on a computer a lot? Does that do the same??
Take microscope and look at your blood at morning. Then talk 20 mins on cellphone or sit about hour in front of your monitor. Then check your blood again. Try to dfinish day of work in front of computer and you will see really baaad picture in your microscope.
Then (surprised!) try to search in internet what happened to your blood. Take good dictionary, because explanation of what happened to your blood is really complicated. Good luck!
Well, I think this is much better then nothing. And if you come with question like "I want to use cellphone wihtout getting sick, hod do I do that?" then this app is best answer for you (that currently exists!).
Personally I use cellphone about 20 mins of calls per months. And my cellphone emits really low signal all the time. Probably lowes signal of all cellphones at all.
We should start talking about if radiation is dangerous at all (in small amounts) before we recommend people look at a red radiation bar and start freakin out.
He says if this a red bar then it is "unsafe". But there's no research to suggest that...

Sounds like a sophisticated application, but there has apparently been no validation as to its accuracy.
