Kissinger on the Bosnian War in 1994 (1/3)

Former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger talks about the situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina on Charlie Rose on 28 November 1994 and gives his rather unorthodox view on the whole issue. Perhaps most important of all he criticizes the West and the United States in particular on several occasions for its policies towards that region. This is among other things for the recognition of Bosnia as a independent state and the fact that the Americans encouraged Alija Izetbegović to go that path.

Also something which Kissinger criticizes heavily is the planed bombing of Bosnian Serbs in 1994 because of their offensive against Bihać, which according to him is really a respons to Muslim provocations. Later on the show is joined by then-Arizona Senator John McCain and they discuss the role of NATO booth generally and in light of Bosnia at that still uncertain time for the organization.

To achieve long lasting peace in Bosnia and Herzegovina All 3 nations in Bosnia and Herzegovina should go their seperate ways.Serbs to Serbia,Croats to Croatia and Muslims their own state.Otherwise we'll be looking at another war.USA and Turkey are trying to hold Bosnia together but it's impossible because 2 out of 3 nations in Bosnia don't want Bosnia to exist.Muslims un Bosnia want to dominate Croats and Sers but Croats and Serbs will never allow that.

Mr.Kissinger is wrong in saying that Serbs,Croats and Muslims could not live together.We all lived fine until the economic problems and outside influence tor her apart.
