Congressman Buchanan pressed the Small Business Administration to increase credit available to small businesses. Buchanan is a member of the House Small Business Committee, which heard testimony today from SBA Administrator Karen Mills.

Buchanan questioned Mills about the inability of small businesses in Floridas 13th District to gain access to credit or capital necessary to grow or maintain their business saying it was the number one issue voiced by more than 100 small business owners who attended a recent forum he hosted.

  • Wake up everyone...... this isnt about small business its about goverment controlling everthing and running it! We need more of this man speaking out but it all comes down to us!! The PEOPLE! We need to go back to our constitutional rights and not forget them!!!!!!!!!!! The goverment works for us..................use to anyways!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This man is one of the few who remember the definition of the words "Public Servant". He needs our support. I track his voting and he walks the walk. He has my full support for voting the will of his constituents. Thanks Congressman Buchanan, keep up the fight.

  • You are talking the truth small business is in trouble in Florida we need help now...

  • Thanks for standing up for the small family run businesses. Yes, it is hard to get any decent sized loan. I am a vendor for the local schoolboard and they have seriously cut back. When they do call, I have to be able to get the money for supplies until they can work my invoice through the system and get paid 3-6 weeks later. If a major repair comes in, I have to pass on it due to lack of funding. B of A has lowered my limit on my business credit card and raised the interest rate.

  • Spot on, Vern. I own a small business and have been asking the same questions, Why no money for the small businesses? It has been a major flaw with the Obama approach to stimulation our economy. Most of the people in this country are employed by small business. Vern, keep up the good fight on our behalf.
