Short commercial for Grendizer Jumbo. Clip also shows the very rare spacer that was a prize item. This version was made in Japan only and never came to the US as part of the Shogun Warriors. I simpler version named Goldrake was sold as part of the Shogun Warriors in Europe. Please also note that this is a prototype and that the real jumbo does not have silver arms, but has blue arms with silver stickers.
where can someone pick up a jumbo grendizer like that today other than ebay? I want one!

France & Italy were the two countries in Europe where Grendizer was a huge hit.
Goldrake was the Italian name and Goldorak was the French one.
As the first manga series broadcast in France in 1978, the Mattel version became the biggest sell in French toy market history for a decade.
Too bad we could not get the Japaneses Popy version with better details like in this advertising.
But you know, when youre a kid youre happy enough to get something that look like your favourite hero, anyway!
