On November 15th 1996 Borge Ousland started from Berkner Island with a sled of 178 kilos. After covering a distanse of 2845 km he reached McMurdo base by the Ross sea on January 17th 1997. This was the first crossing of Antarctica from coast to coast alone without support.
Unsupported solo-crossing antarctica , unsuppoerted solo-crossing north-pole, the top of mount Everest,, the nort-west,,AND northeast-passage , followd Nansens tracks in Frans Josef land. Northsea-deepdiver, and former Marinehunter-commando. This guy is probebly the toughest Norwegian that has ever lived. A real "no-bullshit" man!
