Flat is the new black for the K2 Snowboarding 2010-11 collection -- featuring an entire range of boards for beginners to pros with BASELINE™ profiles that, unlike Dad's snowboard of yore, are flat underfoot to make riding the planet easier and more fun for every size and shape of snowboarder.

K2 offers six levels of BASELINE Technology in its new collection with specific Rocker profiles (where the tip, tail and base of the board contact the snow) to benefit powder riders, jibbers, beginners and everyday snowboarders who want to experience the entire mountain. The snowboard line-up is paired to taste with a complete package of high performance boots and bindings for men, women and groms that introduce an unheard of level of convenience and comfort for all snowboarders no matter their abilities and dispositions.

New Stuff for 2010:
Snowboards:
The Fastplant™: the ultimate park board with a first-ever indestructible Bambooyah™ core designed with cross-layered bamboo ply construction like a skateboard, and Jib Rocker™ technology for easier turn nitiation and stability.

The Lunatique: A new perspective on the play-anywhere vibe, the NEW Lunatique™ blends diverse riding styles by incorporating ALL TERRAIN ROCKER. This K2 Alliance™ collaboration creates effortless turns through all types of snow.

The Raygun: Building on the global demand for ALL TERRAIN ROCKER, the RayGun™ steps forward -- setting its sights on delivering fun and value. Fresh off the design table, this board wastes no time setting the new standard for a snappy, responsive ride that's at home in the park as well as the sidecountry.

Bindings:
The Drone: the Drone boasts NEW AUTO-specific toe straps that AUTOmatically close with the heel strap. This K2 patented tech also comes with Litespeed ratchets and Airlock Highbacks, eliminating nnecessary weight while delivering direct energy transfer and pro-level performance.

Boots:
NEW boot on the block, the Ryker™ delivers smooth flex and supportive comfort. The Ryker's Intuition™ liner and Micro Articulating Cuff combine for unfettered mobility. NEW CONDA liner system makes for super quick, single-pull internal adjustment and unrivaled heel hold while the Boa® shell closure locks the exterior.

W Contour DB: a comfortable, easy-to-use boot for women who know what they want, the Contour DB™ (double Boa®) is designed for the female rider who enjoys no-fuss adjustability and cozy feet. Contour users dial in fit with K2's patented Boa® CONDA tech. Intuition™ liners provide superior comfort and support. The NEW HARSHMELLOW outsole lightens up the boots while cushioning hard landings.

Design Collaborations:
Serum Versus Venom SVSV: The New York fashion house brings its fringe designs to the Believer, K2's go-to team snowboard, the T1 boot and the AUTOequipped Uprise binding.

Nikita: straight out of Reykjavik, the wildly popular women's fashion brand lands on the top sheet of the VaVaVoom snowboard and the NEW Cassette binding. Now women can rock Nikita from board to beanie.

Style, technology, team, K2 Snowboarding offers a season's worth of story ideas to simplify your gear, fashion and lifestyle spreads and segments during the 2010-11 snow season.

  • is the k2 fastplant good for park and just to ride in any kind of snow.

  • @sportz2011 The fast plant if a really fun well rounded board that can easily handle anything the mountain can throw at you.

  • Where does the 2011 K2 Believer fit into all these boards?

  • @tsefreeflow its softer than the Slayblade and is more of a All terrain Freestyle sort of board that is still fun in the park.
