A VERY basic tape transport

This 1980s Art Deco Radio has a cassette player that works like the cheap car ones did.Despite that,it doesn't sound too bad.

Those letterbox tape decks are also used in piped music shop systems.

Kinda neat that one is squeezed into this radio, I like the speaker mod :-)

they probably put a crappy speaker in it so people like you could do cool stuff like fitting a better one!

Realistic used to make different colored box radios that had tape players like that. They were super simple but lasted forever. :) JC

The automatic stop merely stops the motor, drops the pinch roller and head from the tape, and puts on the radio. The only way to eject a tape is to push the button fully in.A while back now one of the cars l've had down the years had a stereo like your parent's one,l think the stereo's still in one of my sheds now.

Sounds like the same sort of thing. These were normally made under the Waltham name in the 80s,the firm made music centres and radiocassettes of various types. But though this one appears the same as Waltham's offering,it's badged as a Casio!
