Within the Swedish Institute's Young Leaders Visitors Program 2008, the participants attended a workshop on music as a tool for social change. The Amman-based blogger Arab Observer has written about his experience of this creative week-end. Read his entry (on http://thearabobserver.blogspot.com/search/label/%23YLVP) and see the film where all YLVP participants join their voices in a Soundtrack for Change.

This video just reminded me with the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra created by Daniel Barenboim and Edward Said which it came as a result of a similar workshop took place in Germany gathering young people from Egypt, Jordan, Israel, Tunisia and Syria. Music is a unique tool for a change that we need. I was wondering what will be the outcome of our workshop if Israeli young leaders joined us. I guess the results and the change will be outstanding on all levels.
