@nefeli1969 Be informed. I don't know why a mother would choose NOT to breastfeed their child unless they're misinformed (which many are, sadly).

I refuse to leave the party location for feeding when my baby needs to eat 10-12 times in a 24hr period. It's illegal to ask a breastfeeding mother to leave a public place in Australia (discrimination law) thank God. There's no need to feel uncomfortable. Find a way that suits you, otherwise go ahead & spend a year in the back room of get togethers - it's your choice

@lcsoulsinger i agree with you. if the mother is uncomfortable because ppl are making comments it isnt her fault and theres blankets and stuff she can use to cover up a little more especially if its chilly where shes at. i myself am not a mother yet but i definately want to figure out what i need to do for my baby before i try to have one. i dont think id breast feed in a public place but ill probably pump my milk into a bottle for my baby at those times.

GET OVER THIS FRIKKIN ISSUE! please please please pregnant women watching this. Do NOT feel bad about feeding your child. It is a very kind and unselfish thing to do and there's no need to hide this! When a baby is feeding you can not see the nipple anyway...you see a boob..oh noooo!! If you are ashamed of exposing yourself by all means cover up but please don't do it for the sexualy obsessed droolers who can't stand the sight of it without getting nasty ideas. They are stupid and sick.

A baby's taste doesn't develop untill in a later stage so the taste thing makes no sense. The baby latching on will be seen the first time you try, if it doesn't THEN you can buy crap formula. A mother makes enough (even to much) milk 98 % of the time so that's just bs. Breastfeeding is NOT GROSS YOU ASS! And the intake bullcrap is something western! African women eat what they want and have no trouble. My mom ate what she wanted and I never had trouble. You are a selfish person!

FYI...I'm happily married and have been so for many years! When I do decide to raise a child, I won't be taking my cues from anyone else but myself.

Ms. Vampyr: There are different ways of caring for a child, just like there are different ways of training a dog to obey. Nothing is carved in stone. If I want to raise my child as a vegan. that is MY right. If I choose not to breastfeed, that is MY right too. It's really quite appalling how people try to tell parents how to raise their children AND their dogs!!

somehow my comments aren't showing up as replies but that was to nefeli
breast feeding is the most natural thing in the world and the mothers really do not need to isolate themselves to bathrooms and bedrooms because they wanna feed their babies, just because some people are backwards and uncomfortable. I am sorry i will have to disagree with you.

Go ahead, spend nine months nourishing your baby, then crack open a can of synthetic chemical milk powder. Breast milk is superior to Formula, bottom line.
