Various television commercials from Australia:

This advertisement was first broadcast on Australian television in the early eighties.

This ad features the well-remembered jingle 'Thank You, NRMA' in it's entirety.

  • why can't commercials be like this now ?

  • With a nice little jingle we can all sing along too. The new NRMA ads are crap these days... 'with the money I saved, I was able to buy a new pair of boots'... woopy!

  • how many cars were destroyed in that ad? very impressed!

  • I think this is a montage of different TV commercials shown during the early to mid 80s.

  • I love it how there is an actual car crash.

  • @jessikacordeaux Why can't cars be $6,500 now...

  • What cut the cable that was holding the absolutely-fucking-massive sign?

  • Nah, I think it was just the full one. They often have a long one then save money (and it's less annoying to viewers) to just play shorter ones later in the run.

  • Not to mention the Falcon & the Volvo

  • Did the NRMA have a bottomless pocket for advertising in 1984??? That Sigma, Camira and Commodore totalled at that time were NEW CARS!!!

  • It stands for National Road Motorists Association (or something like that) - although NRMA is New South Wales based, other states have different equivalents.

  • What does NRMA stand for?
