@ConorSloane118 No, you'd just get a stereo mix. You'd need 16 discreet outputs to record 16 different channels.

@bdubrecords If I ran my L+R main-out from a 16 channel analog mixer into an interface could I record 16 channels simultaneously..... for example; 8 drum mics in my mixer would they come up seperately on my computer?

@19BARD85 Which is why when new macs come out, they have processors and interfaces that haven't been released to the of market yet. Probably also the reason that every new Mac is the fastest computer of its class at that point in time. Name one notebook faster than the current MacBook pro. One all in one faster than the current iMac. One tower faster than a 12 core Mac pro. They don't exist

i have a pc and i dont have that problem

@ThEMiKeMFjOnEs macs are simply PC's from two years ago inside an expensive shiny white plastic case

@GameBird360 turn down the gain on your interface. Use the front panel headphone jacks to controll your headphone volume.

What word clock settings are you using? Also how do you route channels from the mixer to the M Audio? Cheers

@george150593 ADAT 1 from the Yamaha board provides the word clock. I use the Direct Out option and route each channel to a shot 1 or slot 2 digital output.
