The farmer was interviewed and he doesn't appear to be someone who is "trying to show he is superior". That is how she judged him, and it appears that it may have been a false interpretation. Whether her interpretation was based on a prejudice on her own part, she flatly said she "didn't give him the full force" of her ability to help, It certainly appears that consideration of his race was a factor in her interpretation, her subsequent actions, and the response from the audience.

it is obvious and substantiated by her own words captured on video that shirley was initially a hater of white people because of her horrific and limited experiences with some white people ...and that she initially was unable to objectively do her job to help these white people because of her prejudice toward " their kind"
