Teen Suicide Letter - RED - pieces

**NOTE - this is not my letter or representing my thoughts. I was suicidal at a time in my life but with God's help I no longer am. I am not suicidal. This is made for awareness! Please read on...

These are lines from an actual suicide letter writen by a young teenage girl.

Suicide is not a joke. It's not something that you only see on tv or hear about on the news. Suicide is real. Nearly everyone in the world is faced with suicidal thoughts at some point in their lives. Sometimes the feelings go away. But sometimes they don't. Sometimes they can take over a life, and then end it.

A lot of times people don't even realize when others are going through suicidal thoughts. Sometimes they do and brush the person off. If someone tells you they're suicidal, DO NOT brush it off. Maybe they are joking, maybe they aren't. Do you want to wait till their funeral to find out? Talk to people. Listen. Accept others for who they are. Learn to love. Do not take people for granted. You never know what they're going through. You never know how close they could be to writing their own letter of goodbye.

If you're out there thinking of suicide, there is help and suicide is NOT the answer. Although it may not feel like it, there are people in the world that love you, even if you don't know them. There are people praying for you, even if you can't hear them. There are people going through the same things you are, even if you can't see them. Get help. Stay strong. You have a purpose in this world. You are loved.

aparently there has been some confusion and some people think I put this on here for either a) attention or b) to depress people. it was for neither purpose. if you are not suicidal and ignore the problem of suicide in today's society, i hope this upsets you, i hope it wakes you up to the reality we are faced with. if you are suicidal or depressed, this isn't to make it worse. watch the video all the way through, pay attention to the ending. there is help. there is hope. you are NOT alone. trust me. you are loved more than you know.

@yaoidemon101 Saying suicide is a selfish act is very subjective. I understand where you're coming from, and we all have our opinions. But think about this, aren't the people trying to keep us from doing it, just as selfish? The ones who don't want us to go through with it, because they don't want to deal with the aftermath? That's understandable, but I just wanted to make a point. I just hate when suicidal people get labeled as selfish, when there are plenty of reasons as to why they're not.

To everyone who is going through depression, you're not alone. I myself am a survivor who went through it in the past and to anyone who is thinking about suicide, please don't try it. God loves you all and I say this from experience, he has a plan for each and every one of you. Don't give up no matter what, things will get better, I promise!
