@tecartavideo Thanks for the prompt reply. But what I don't understand then is how is it that "YOUVERSION" offers the NKJV for free? It too is an Android app. Oh well, good to hear the word is being spread.

Why is the KJV free, but the NKJV isn't?

@soboboo The KJV is not copyrighted (as it was published 400 years ago :), but the NKJV is owned by Thomas Nelson Publishers and they require payment every time it is downloaded to a device.

@yookwah You may purchase a downloaded translation (which does not require wifi) or use the streaming bibles for free---so it works both ways :)
