    Low antenna on a low band should give you good coverage over a few hundred miles - look up NVIS antennas - Near Vertical Incident Skywave, so long as you haven't got too many problems with junk PSU's / Plasma TV's, PLT etc....

  • Would i get good reception if i stretched out about 200 ft of long wire about 15 feet off the ground?

    The voice is perfectly intelligible. It was mainly posted for my own benefit to demonstrate the low noise floor that I enjoy on the HF bands, currently being free of PLT, Plasma and other spectrum polluting junk.

    It shows a meter and a voice that is not understandable .
