@BillD2012 If i recall correctly, u said something like romans discovered tigers. Origin of this species is Pantera tigris commonly known as tigris. And they have been discovered in China. And 7 sub-species remaining right now. Total was 12.

@Dalen77 Not all Tigers are the same as well as lions. But the info on the net is clearly stating that Tigers "usually" own lions. Im not a Tiger fanboy, i love all cat species, especially hybrids :)

You'll see why you've been misled. All big cats except lions are elusive, which means lions are more observed in the wild. Hardly do they fight to deaths. But for other solitary cat, including cougars, they fight to death to earn mating rights. I am not sure why you think tigers don't fight. They are more cautious. That is part of intelligence. Any defense dept gathers intel first before launching war.

@Dalen77 No, I state facts. Only facts. I will never be a politician that way. A few moments ago I replied to sb who said leopards are the strongest cats #4#. I cast doubt that BFQ of a leopard is weaker than that of a lion. See, I stick to facts, no bias. I personally like leopards a lot more, because almost everyone likes their impressive spots, including you. Many argue that a lions manes is ultimate weapon, well, it is a gift by God, if you don't believe in Darwin. But that is not enough.

@Dalen77 What is the point by saying GWB is not president anymore. My point is, being loyal/political can get you far, You could not get the point. He twisted facts, but still, he was a 2-term president. He lied, and people worked for him did too, to keep their jobs, that is the benefit of being loyal, even blindly. You're loyal to lions, at least you believed in the ruthless, and stupidity demonstrated in all the fights against tigers.

@Dalen77 Most zoos? There is a zoo in Harbin, China, every tiger is a Siberian. Still not guessing? In the S.Korean zoo, not everyone is. There are no tigers, there. Only in the north. All lions and tigers are imported. Obviously true for lions, less so for tigers.

@Dalen77 Since I have said enough pound for pound lions rank higher on than cheetah in fighting ability and you could not get it, I am really tired at your ability to read, judge and learn. Lions have size adv. over most cats. You just missed the points. You sobreity is in doubt.

@drake1431 I'd say you are just mis-informed. There are only 3 living subspecies of lions right now, and Babary lions are only available in capativity. What do you means "But never heard of Romans "Finding" the tiger race."?
