The recent election in Iran has made U.S.-Iran relations difficult, says Ambassador Pickering. President Obama, who believes in diplomacy over the use of force, has to manage a delicate balance between dealing with the crack-down on protesters and leaving the door open for future negotiations with Iranian leadership.
