  • John Mayer is great. I mean not only is it music that people enjoy, but there's also some theory and thought put into what he's doing melodically and with the chord changes.

  • was that a an actual song he broke into towards the end 1:20 or were they cheering out of sheer adoration? if it was a real song what was it?

  • i figured it out he was just improving some vocals

  • @swagg adoration.

  • thank you and not to be insulting but i kno what assassin sounds like i mean the part he played starting at 1:20 where sang a little note and then stopped the crowd cheers and then he starts playing again

  • Listen to his new alblum - the song is assasins

  • Verse chords: Bm G Bm A (on listening a second time there is an Em that replaces the 1st Bm.)

    Pre Chorus: Em Bm A G Bm A G Bm A G A

    Chorus: Bm D G Em

    Bridge: D G Bm A

    Break: Em Bm A

  • After a little trys i've came up with these:

Bm at 7th fret plucking the first 4 strings

GMaj13 without the High E and barre at second fret to hammer the G

Bm at 7th fret plucking the first 4 strings

A at fifth fret, again plucking the 4 first strings

    sounds kinda like it.

    waddaya think?
